About this tool
- Upload a PDF file to convert it to an editable PowerPoint presentation
- Optimized for NotebookLM generated slides
- Text will be editable, images will be freely movable
- OCR is automatically applied for image-based PDFs
OCR Options
- Engine: Choose between Tesseract (default, stable) or PaddleOCR (experimental, may work better for some documents)
- DPI: Higher DPI (e.g., 350-400) improves OCR accuracy but increases processing time
- Background DPI: Lower values speed up PNG encoding and shrink output size
- Language: Select the language(s) used in your PDF for better text recognition
- PSM: Page segmentation mode (Tesseract only) affects how the document layout is analyzed
- Paddle angle classification: Turn off for speed if slides are not rotated
- Fast background PNG: Speed up PNG compression at the cost of larger PPTX
- Save OCR dump: Check this to download a ZIP file containing both the PPTX and a text file with all extracted OCR text
Note: PaddleOCR requires additional dependencies (paddlepaddle, paddleocr). If not installed, only Tesseract will be available.
